Excursion to Škocjan Caves, Lipica and Coffee in Trieste

Every Wednesday

Departure at 09:00 from the bus stop at Tartini Square. Join us for an unforgettable journey through the stunning Karst region of Slovenia and neighboring Italy.

Our first stop will be the magnificent Škocjan Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Slovenia's greatest natural treasures. Entrance to the caves is at 10:00, where you will be accompanied by an official guide. During the approximately 1 hour and 30-minute guided tour, you will discover one of the largest underground canyons in Europe, impressive cave chambers, the underground Reka River, and breathtaking karst formations.

After the cave visit, we will continue to Lipica, home of the world-famous Lipizzaner horses and the oldest stud farm in Europe, founded in 1580. Lipizzaners are a truly unique horse breed: they are born dark brown or black and gradually turn snow-white by the age of ten. We will visit the estate from the outside, take photographs, and your guide will share fascinating stories about the history of Lipica and the remarkable characteristics of these elegant horses.

Our journey then continues to Trieste, Italy, where you enjoy an authentic Italian coffee.

Return to Piran is scheduled for approximately 15:00.
